HI, Iβm Zoe, a writer, content Creator, mum of two, and founder of The Ethical Guide.
a few things about me
Iβm British born and bred but also have Australian citizenship, having lived in Sydney for 15 years. I jetted off for a backpacking gap year in 2005, and made it back in 2020, with husband and two kids in tow! I now live in Winchester, Hampshire with my husband Dan and our little people, Freddy and Olive.

Two health challenges catapulted my interest in ethical living. First, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis; then, I struggled to fall pregnant with my second child. Both experiences sent me deep into researching toxin exposure in everyday life - from the products in our homes to the food, beauty and fashion we consume. What I found opened my eyes to the hidden, and troubling, realities behind several major industries.
Over time, that curiosity grew into a genuine passion for ethical living and a stronger desire to care and advocate for the natural world.
////
Iβve worked in digital journalism and content creation for over a decade, for major tech publishing companies like Microsoft/MSN, Yahoo! (back in the day) Bauer Media, Buzzfeed and HuffPost. On starting a family, I went freelance as a content creator and from here followed my passion for mindful and sustainable living.
With so much false and misleading information out there, credibility is vital, so as I dig for information, I fact-check everything and draw on only the most reliable, trusted sources.

I love the idea that we can all make a difference in our own way, even if thatβs just by sharing what weβre doing towards helping the planet, inspiring each other with our own experiences, or spreading the message further afield on ethical brands, products, and organisations. πππΏ Thanks for being here.
